英语写作基础教程期末复习提要
一．
课程说明
英语写作是开放教育专科英语专业的必修课程。教材是丁往道编写的《英语写作基础教程》。此课程开设一学期。本期学习的重点是一些常见的写作技巧。具体的教学范围见省校已经下发的《英语写作基础教程》的教学实施意见。由四川电大作为组织命题考试，特制订此复习提要，适合四川电大所有参加此课程考试的学生。
二．
考核方式：
本课程的考核采取两种形式：形成性考核和课程终结考试。课程总成绩百分制，形成性考核占20%，课程终结考试站80%。
1．包括平时写作练习、参与面授辅导和各项教学活动的情况。
2．课程终结考试：满分100分，由四川广播电视大学统一命题，在统一时间实行全省统一考试，为闭卷考试。
三．
复习范围
本课程的学时重点放在教材1---6单元，第七、八单元作一般性掌握。重点要求掌握以下单元的课后练习：
1．第一单元 选择正确的词语填空
2．第二单元 正确句和有效句的形成
3．第三单元 段落的展开
4．第五单元 短文写作
5．第六单元 应用文写作

考试题型说明：
本课程的考试按照中央电大的要求，在题型、总分比例和时间上如下规定：
Ⅰ、Choose the more suitable word from the two
provided for each blank in the following sentences.(选择适当词填空)。（20%）
每小题2分，共10个小题，总分20分。
For example: Many
people here have got other income ________ (besides, except) their wages.
The sentence
should read, “Many people here have got other income besides their wages.”
Therefore you should choose the word “besides” for the blank.
Ⅱ、Improve the following sentences （修改下列句子）。(10%)
每小题2分，共5个小题，总分10分。
For example: She
put all her reference books into a box, which she would use after taking the
new job.
The sentence
should be revised in the following way: She put into a box all her reference
books, which she would use after taking the new job.
Ⅲ、Write a writing for practical purpose based
on the given facts （用所给材料，写一篇简短的应用文）。(20%)
此题主要是考察学生对应用文写作的常用格式和一些应用文常用语的掌握程度。例如：通知，邀请信和便条等。
Ⅳ、Write a composition about the following
topic in 2oo words（写一篇200字的短文）。
(50%)
短文写作的目的在于综合考察学生的写作能力。要求所写内容切题完整，语句连贯，条例清楚，语言通顺恰当，语法正确。
全部试题满分100分，考试时间为120分钟。
五、复习提示
期末复习的原则是以课本为主，进一步巩固本期写作课的学习成果。但是，学生必须注意到写作能力的提高是日积月累的结果，没有什么终南捷径可以走。如果没有平时的写作练习的积累，只靠考前突击是不能提高写作水平的。希望同学们能从实际应用出发，重视平时的写作训练，积极配合教师的工作。通过本期的学习，使自己的写作能力能真正有所提高，在写作中，能自由地表达自己的思想感情。
